Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Factory, which maintains its position in the truck market for more than 30 years and continuously renews itself with rapidly developing technology, continues its investments in line with the principles of Industry 4.0. Aksaray Truck Factory integrates 22 AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle) into many production stages, providing autonomous and safe transportation and economical and environmentally friendly transportation in production processes.AGVs within the factory; interior trim, axle transfer, engine pre-assembly, bodywork and chassis rivet production lines. Thanks to the AGVs that make an average of 170 km a day in Aksaray Truck Factory, the existing employees do not have to carry out heavy transportation works and they can achieve more efficiency in other areas.
Magnetic stripe tracking, visual direction finding and inductive AGVs are capable of lifting and carrying up to 3,000 kg. With the use of AGVs, Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Factory provides 40 hours of walkway saving and stable production.The production and investment costs of the AGVs used in the Aksaray Truck Plant vary according to the functions included. Maintenance costs are lower than construction machines such as forklifts, tow trucks, but spare parts and routine maintenance checks vary according to the brand and model of AGV used.
